How To Add Roms To Retropie With USB
Today, I will be showing you can add load roms on to Retropie using a USB. This is a very simple procedure that can be done in a matter of minutes.
First things first, you will need to have retropie already installed on your Raspberry Pi and you will have to have your roms downloaded.
Let’s begin, take your USB, plug it into your computer, right click and format as FAT32
After the USB is formatted, create a folder called retropie on the USB, unplug it and plug it into your Raspberry Pi which is running retropie. Wait a couple of minutes.
Unplug your USB and plug it back into the computer. Now, when you open up the retropie folder on the USB stick, you should be able to see bios, etc. If you click into the roms folder, you will see all of the systems in there.
Now, take your games from your computer and copy them to the right folder. If they are SNES games, put them in the SNES folder. TurboGrafx roms go in PCEngine and so on.
After you have copied your games onto the right folder on the USB, unplug the USB from your computer and plug it back into your raspberry pi. Look to see if the USB is flashing, if it is, it means that the roms are being uploaded. Depending on the amount of games you have, it might take a couple of minutes. Give it some time.
Finally, restart your EmulationStation and you should be able to see your roms/emulators on the main screen now. Hope this quick blurb on how to add toms to retropie with USB helps you out!
