The latest news coming out of North Korea are that there will be an “all out war” if the United States decides to intervene militarily in the Korean peninsula.
Han Song-Ryol, the Vice Foreign Minister of North Korea said that the country would respond with military force if the United States is going to be “reckless enough” to try to attack them.
“If the US is reckless enough to use military means it would mean from that very day, an all out war,” Han Song-Ryol was quoted saying.
“A nuclear war could break out at any moment on the Korean Peninsula.”
Han Song-Ryol also said that this growing tension with the United States and their neighboring allies is only going to push North Korea to build up their missile program even more now.
“We’ll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis,” Han Song-Ryol added.
These statements came right after the U.S. Vice President, Mike Pence was at the DMZ in South Korea saying that the “era of Strategic Patience was over.” This happened only a couple of hours after North Korea’s missile test and military parade on Saturday.
“North Korea would do well not to test his resolve or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region,” Mike Pence said.
In reply to the growing tensions with North Korea, The Trump administration has responded by sending a navy strike group towards the Korean Peninsula. The United States had continued going forward with the deployment of the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) missile defense system in South Korea.
Meanwhile, there have been talks on diplomatic and military options which were discussed in China.
Now, even though that the tensions between North Korea and the United States continue to grow, experts say that North Korea is going to continue to prepare for a sixth nuclear test. It is getting crazy out there.
